2. Programs for Children Combining Individual and Group Instruction
For children ages three and up, The Royal Conservatory School offers two paths of integrated music programs that blend individual studio instruction with weekly group musicianship classes.
The Royal Diploma Program is unique to The Royal Conservatory School and offers exceptional curriculum in a noncompetitive environment, aimed at developing a well-rounded musician. Working towards diploma levels, students take weekly lessons and weekly musicianship and ensemble classes, while also enjoying many exciting enrichment opportunities such as workshops, master classes, performances, and field trips to major arts organizations. Learn more about this program by visiting the Royal Diploma Program webpage here.
The Royal Suzuki Program focuses on an enriched program of music study in violin and cello, which combines individual studio lessons with instrumental group classes, theory-musicianship classes, orchestra, small ensembles, and special workshops. Enrichment workshops enhance and strengthen the individual and group instrumental instruction, and they are cross-discipline, meaning that students from all Suzuki disciplines at this location take part.
